About The Position:  EntreNous Youth Empowerment Services seeks to hire a full-­time Social Media | Marketing Strategist who will create, coordinate and manage social media, strategy and marketing under the supervision of the Co-Executive Directors. The Social Media | Marketing Strategist will create a wide range of videos, graphics and layouts for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok, etc utilizing various graphic software tools and technologies to transform graphic concepts into program level posts as well as reply to questions and comments.

About Our Programs:  EntreNous serves young people primarily ages 16-29 who have been pushed or have dropped out of traditional education. Through a variety of services, program members developed needed skills to create sustainable wage positions for themselves, primarily in Construction | Building Trades and Hospitality | Culinary Arts. Areas of focus include: Career Development, Counseling, Civic Engagement | Leadership, Education (Accredited High School Diploma), and Workforce Development (Construction | Culinary).  We are a full-time, project-based program focused on social justice and restorative practices that allows young people to develop skills needed to rebuild their communities and their lives.

Essential Functions              

  • Create relevant content to reach the agency’s ideal participants
  • Curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written)
  • Create Press Releases
  • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales
  • Compile reports for management showing results (ROI)
  • Become the “Brand Ambassador” for the agency in Social Media spaces
  • Engage in dialogues and answer questions where appropriate
  • Demonstrate ability to map out marketing strategy and then execute that strategy
  • Research, target, and book relevant influencers who can effectively promote programs and the agency
  • Monitor trends in Social Media applications, channels, tools, design and strategy
  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the Social Media campaigns
  • Evaluate and update the site and all social media outlets to maintain brand fidelity, content quality, and program reach
  • Other duties as assigned

  • 3 years FT paid work experience in a nonprofit setting preferred
  • Minimum of high school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Substantial and significant use of computerized management information systems and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, etc.
  • Significant experience with Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Twitch, Snapchat, Twitter, Loomly, YouTube, FB Algorithms and Analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and to meet deadlines 
  • Excellent oral and written (English) communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with participants, staff, management, and community partners
  • Sensitivity to individuals of various socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds
  • Must be motivated to learn, a self-starter, trainable, and an excellent role model
  • Graphic and Video design experience (Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / Premiere Pro) and other programs in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong organization skills
  • Experience in photography, video shooting and editing
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Professional demeanor and a positive attitude that associates with the brand level
  • Proficient in email and dm composition using professional grammar
  • Proficient in using CRM programs to create custom profiles and orders.
  • Driver’s License, reliable transportation, adequate insurance, and good driving record required (DMV printout); Pass Criminal Background Check; CPR/First Aid Certified (preferred), CA Mandated Reporter (preferred)
  • TB Test (last 4 years)
  • Covid vaccination records required
  • Bilingual preferred, Spanish

In the first week, expect to:

  • Onboard and integrate into EntreNous Youth Empowerment Services
  • Meet the team, attend meetings, observe the organization, and learn the mission, vision and values
  • Familiarization with our internal processes and tools

In the first month, expect to:

  • Spend time with the organization’s executive directors and team members to understand priorities and culture of the organization including philosophy and YouthBuild model
  • Review all internal and external social media content and website
  • Begin to develop a strategy/plan/calendar for social media and marketing

In the first three months, expect to:

  • Have a solid understanding of the role, the program, the delivery of content
  • Participate in strategic planning and continuous quality improvement
  • Streamline systems and structures to improve efficiency and ease of use

In the first six months, expect to:

  • Share ideas for new content | marketing elements
  • Refine and assist with innovating existing social media platform content
  • Begin setting personal and program goals
